Come on by.
Have a cup of coffee.
Hear a little bit about writing and Early’s Fall, then secure your very own autographed copy—yes, become a book collector if you are not already one. Take Early’s Fall home and enjoy a read and a vicarious ride with Sheriff James Early as he pursues killers and bank robbers across the plains of Kansas in a time not so long past.
Here are some of the places where you and I can have that cup of coffee and visit:
July 8, 7 p.m. . . . Middleton Public Library, Middleton, Wisconsin. Crime writer Kathleen Ernst and I will present a workshop for newby writers. The subject: “How to write a mystery.”
October 9 . . . Booked for Murder, our independent mystery bookstore in Madison, Wisconsin. It’s the second annual gathering of The Legends of the Fall. Twenty crime writers from around the Midwest will be here, doing author events at the store and at other venues in and around Madison.
