I enjoy it greatly. The new CBS vehicle, from what I’ve seen, is attempting to give the great detective elements that American audiences will find more palletable in order to increase ratings. From the trailers I’ve seen, it doesn’t look too good, but I’m willing to give it the benefit of the doubt.

I watched the new mystery show on TNT Monday night, “Perception,” with Eric McCormick and Rachel Leigh Cook. While it’s far from perfect, I’ll be interested enough in it to watch the new few episodes before passing summary judgement.

It’s quite worth it.

Comment on Edgar Allan Poe, detective by John Desjarlais http://jerrypetersonbooks.com/blog/?p=2177&cpage=1#comment-8335 John Desjarlais Tue, 21 Feb 2012 13:50:58 +0000 http://jerrypetersonbooks.com/blog/?p=2177#comment-8335 Poe fancied himself a detective in writing ‘The Mystery of Marie Roget,’ claiming to solve the real murder of New York’s Mary Rogers based solely upon newspaper accounts of the crime. He did not succeed. Arthur Conan Doyle, however, did manage to solve a real crime.

Leave it to another author to come up with something unusual.

Or wall space for the bookshelves? Or house with walls large enough for the shelves?
